Family Yoga

Kids (and their grownups!) are invited to learn gentle yoga poses, breathing exercises and relaxation techniques with certified Yoga teacher Ceci Brandt. Yoga has many benefits for children including enhancing their flexibility, strength, and coordination. It helps develop a sense of calm and present moment awareness while nurturing self-esteem and focus. Families are encouraged to bring their own mats, although there will be some available to borrow. Teen “Altogether Ooky” Addams Family Show & Craft Program

Teens ages 13-18 are invited to watch episodes of the original Addams Family television show from the 1960s and make their own Wednesday Addams stained glass window craft. Movie Night at the Library on Feb. 15

Cumberland County Library is hosting Movie Night on February 15 at 5:30 pm. Hidden Figures is the true story of a team of female African-American mathematicians who served a vital role in NASA during the early years of the U.S. space program. The film stars Taraji P. Henson, Octavia Spencer, and Janelle Monae, was nominated for 3 Oscars, and is rated PG. Showtime is at 5:30 pm in the Library Meeting Room. Admission is free. Registration is not required.
