Computer Classes

Cumberland County Library currently offers a 10 PC Computer Lab for classes on a wide variety of computer and technical topics. The workstations also have a variety of application software for library clients to use during non-instruction hours. See the list to the right (or below on mobile) for upcoming classes, or visit the computer classes calendar here.

A maximum of ten students will be accepted into each class. There is normally no registration fee. To sign up for a session, talk to a library assistant by phone or in person at (856) 453-2210 Option 3. Please note that the lab is currently not available for general public use.

  • Are children allowed to use the lab?

No, except for any classes specially scheduled for children. Children are directed to use the computers in the Children’s area of the library.

  • Are the classes offered accredited, or are certificates issued?

No. Classes offered in the lab are for personal development purposes only.

  • Can we print in the lab?

Printing from the lab computers is handled by the SAM (Smart Access Manager) system in a similar manner as the rest of the public computers. Prints may be retrieved from the print release station located just outside the lab. Printing charges are 20 cents per page for black and white; 75 cents per page for color.

  • Is there a charge to use the computer lab?

No. Computer use is free during normal lab hours, except for printing.

  • Who can use the lab?

In the absence of any scheduled class, the lab can be used by anyone age 13 and over during posted hours.
