Send Your Printing to the Library and Pick It Up! Print from Your Mobile Device in the Library!
You can send a print job from your network connected personal computer, laptop, tablet, or other mobile device. Print from the library’s wireless network or from anywhere(!!) with an Internet connection.

To Print from a Desktop or Laptop
- Upload your document to our Wireless Print Service by
(A) Logging in to the system with your library card number, or
(B) registering (one time only) for a temporary guest ID with your email address and phone number - Once logged in, select a file or files to upload (note the allowed file extensions)
(A) Choose the button to UPLOAD
You may preview and even delete jobs
(B) Proceed to the library’s print release station, login with whatever credentials you used above and print as usual
To print from iOS or Android device
Step 1
Mobile device users have two (2) methods available for wireless print.
(A) You may also visit the Wireless Print Service web site (mentioned above) to print stored photos and documents on your mobile device (as described above).
OR
(B) Download the SmartALEC app from the AppStore or Google Play
[Note: if you are planning to use the “guest” method for printing, you may have to create that account by first visiting the Wireless Print Service page.Step 2
Print from iOS App
- Open the document, file, or picture you wish to print, and tap Action [picture]
- Tap the print icon
- Pinch out or tap and hold on document to show the Action
icon. [Do NOT attempt to print to a printer first]
- Tap Action and this time select the SmartALEC app icon,.
- Open the SmartALEC app and make sure your documents are there.
- Proceed to the library’s print release station, login with whatever credentials you used to send the document, and print as usual.
or
Print from Android App
- 1. Open the document, file, or picture you wish to print, and tap the three dots
in the upper right corner (sometimes known as “More Options”)
- Select Print.
- Tap the drop down menu in the upper right corner.
- Select SmartALEC,
- Tap the printer icon.
- Tap OK.
- Open the SmartALEC app and make sure your documents are there.
- Proceed to the library’s print release station, login with whatever credentials you used to send the document, and print as usual.
E-Mail to Reference Desk
Non-Confidential Option*
For documents of a non-confidential nature, you may at the present time send a request to reference@CCLNJ.org and attach the document(s). Time permitting, reference staff will print your document, and you may retrieve and pay for the prints at the circulation desk.
