In the mission of engaging community, providing access, and inspiring life-long learning, Cumberland County Library now offers a Seed Library that will encourage the tradition of seed saving, nurturing locally-adapted, organic plant varieties, and fostering a community of sharing. We have an ever-changing collection of herbs, flowers, fruits, and vegetables!

How Does it Work?
- Feel free to check our online inventory ahead of time or just come into the library and take a look through our collection. We have a printed inventory here as well. Seeds are sorted by category and then alphabetically.
- Ask for a Seed Checkout form at the front desk.
- Fill out the form with the name/type and quantity of the seed packets you are checking out. No library card is required!
- Return form to front desk and grab your seeds!
Want to Donate Seeds?
- Please LABEL your seeds! More information is always better.
- Ask for a Seed Donation form at the front desk.
- Fill out the form with your donations.
- Please make sure to provide any special planting or storage information we should know!
- Return seeds with form to the front desk.
