Are you looking for a gentle yet challenging addition to your health and fitness routine? Cumberland County Library is pleased to announce that yoga is coming back to the library, with the “Yoga With Ceci” program. Classes will be held every Wednesday from 10:30AM-11:30AM, at the Cumberland County Library, located at 800 E. Commerce St, Bridgeton, NJ, 08302. The program begins on Wednesday, September 21 and runs through Wednesday, October 26.
“Yoga With Ceci” is a soft and gentle practice with breath work and flow, appropriate for beginner and intermediate practitioners. One-hour sessions begin with centering, warm up and end with a 5-10 minute relaxation (Savasana) Sanskrit vocabulary is used intermittently with English. The type of yoga practiced in this program is called Hatha. It is a gentle practice which utilizes props (including chairs, blocks and pillows)and our motto is “No new pain in yoga”. Each participant is encouraged to bring their own mat, although there will be some mats to borrow.
This program is part of a grant-funded partnership between the Cumberland County Library and the New Jersey Department of Health.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:
Ceci Brandt, CYT, E-RYT, has taught Hatha yoga in South Jersey for 13 years in private homes, the county library, adult day programs, senior centers and family fitness centers. She has been regularly practicing yoga for over 20 years. Ceci is grateful to her mentors as well as her students, who have been her greatest teachers. Yoga’s integration of mind, body, and spirit has shaped her life in ways that continue to evolve.
