Help the environment while being a part of history, at the upcoming volunteer planting event for Cumberland County Library's new rain garden! The rain garden, installed in partnership with the American Littoral Society, will help filter storm water runoff from the library property and adjacent roadways while providing vital habitat to native insects, birds, and other wildlife. All equipment will be provided. Participants should dress for the weather and wear closed-toe shoes and sun and insect protection. The Rain Garden Planting will take place on Saturday, June 18 from 10:00 am-12:00 pm, at Cumberland County Library. Those interested in taking part should register by calling the library at (856) 453-2210 Ext. 26104.
