Drawing the Future with Jackie Ormes

Families of children and teens ages 8 and up are invited to celebrate Black History Month and learn about Jackie Ormes, the first published African-American cartoonist! We will read Holding Her Own: The Exceptional Life of Jackie Ormes by Traci N. Todd and illustrated by Shannon Wright, and create a comic, poem, or LEGO diorama focused on positive change.
