Yoga with Ceci

“Yoga With Ceci” is a soft and gentle practice with breath work and flow, appropriate for beginner and intermediate practitioners. One-hour sessions begin with centering, warm up and end with a 5-10 minute relaxation (Savasana) Sanskrit vocabulary is used intermittently with English. The type of yoga practiced in this program is called Hatha. It is a gentle practice which utilizes props (including chairs, blocks and pillows)and our motto is “No new pain in yoga”. Each participant is encouraged to bring their own mat, although there will be some mats to borrow. This program is part of a grant-funded partnership between Cumberland County Library and the New Jersey Department of Health. Please note: registration is required to participate in “Yoga With Ceci”. Free Musical Concert on September 21

Cumberland County Library 800 E. Commerce St., Bridgeton

On Wednesday, September 21, at 6:30 pm, Cumberland County Library will host a free concert by well-known Philadelphia-area musical group Magdaliz and Her Latin Ensemble Crisol. “Crisol” is Spanish for “melting pot;” the group is dedicated to the interpretation of a variety of folk and traditional music genres from all over Latin America and the Caribbean. They released their first album, “Songs from the New World,” in 2002. In 2009 Magdaliz and Her Latin Ensemble Crisol (as A Latin Trio) performed at the Kimmel Center as first place winners in the “Philadelphia Best Latin Music Ensemble” category.
